Sustainable, cross-border cooperation between research institutes and SMEs in Poland and Germany in the field of medical technology is one of the central concerns of the ATeM performance center. The fourth Saxon-Polish Innovation Day on September 15 and 16 was the perfect opportunity to exchange ideas with stakeholders from science and industry from Saxony and the Republic of Poland.
Focus on sustainability and digitalization
The exchange focused on ecologically, economically and socially sustainable manufacturing technologies for innovative products. Additive manufacturing provides important impetus in this regard, as it is based on digital models and largely dispenses with processing aids. With its individualized and demand-oriented production, 3D printing is also an essential counterpart to the mass production of short-lived consumer goods.
Especially the matchmaking with other entrepreneurs, scientists, young minds and experts on topics such as digitalization in companies, circular technologies and accelerated innovations was a successful part of the program.
We would like to thank the TU Dresden, the TU Wroclaw, the liaison office of the Free State of Saxony in Wroclaw and of course the Saxony Economic Development Agency for the organization and two stimulating days and look forward to the upcoming Innovation Days in 2023.
