The German-Polish Fraunhofer High Performance Center develops novel technologies for the use of additive manufacturing  in medical technology. The performance center thus combines the expertise of the various partner institutes in the fields of materials science and -development, smart production and digitization, additive manufacturing and medicine.We thus serve as a focal point of contact for research and development projects in the field of additive technologies for medicine and health. In joint projects, we develop custom-fit solutions, according to your individual questions and objectives

This includes:
Scientific consulting for technology- and material development
Design consultation and simulation
Seminars and trainings on additive manufacturing for health care
Feasibility studies
Characterization and testing of materials and components
Process chain development from the design of the part, its additive manufacturing as well as the post processing

On the German side, the Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology IWS in Dresden and the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology IWU in Chemnitz are involved in the High-Performance Center. They are cooperating with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Center for Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (CAMT) at the Technical University of Wroclaw and the university medical centers in Dresden and Leipzig.
